Avocado Oil is a premium, Extra Virgin oil, Cold Pressed from the flesh of the ripe Avocado (Persea americana) to retain the characteristic pure avocado oil flavour. Avocado oil contains Omega 9 Fatty Acids and offers a low proportion of saturated fatty acids of the total fat content and contains the vitamin and antioxidant – Vitamin E. The Vibrant green colour is attributed to high levels of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments extracted into the oil. Cold Pressed Avocado Oil has the highest smoke point of any extra virgin oil (≥250°C); thus it is one of the healthiest oils to use for all types of cooking. Natural Cold Pressed Avocado Oil boasts a long list of nutritional benefits but is especially useful for people suffering from skin conditions. Within the skincare industry it is valued for its regenerative and moisturising properties because of its high skin penetration and rapid absorption.

New Zealand produces avocado and organic avocado for fruit export and avocado oil and organic avocado oil production. Although current domestic production is about 2% of the global supply of avocados, current total export means that New Zealand is the ninth largest exporter of avocados in the world.

Extra Virgin Avocado Oil

If you love avocado, then this is the closest you will get. With taste and colour similar to a fresh avocado, this dark green oil is used internationally for a wide range of culinary purposes.

Extra Virgin Avocado Oil is the highest grade of Avocado Oil available. It’s extracted by carefully pressing the best skinless avocados and low temperatures, so not to damage the nutritional profile or flavour of the oil. Only the highest quality oil from the first press of the avocado can earn the title of being called extra virgin.

Refined Avocado Oil

Refined Avocado Oil is extracted from the flesh of the ripe Avocado using a centrifuge type press and refined after extraction. The resultant Avocado Oil Refined contains no solvent residues, additives, or preservatives.

Avocado Oil Refined is popular in the use of health supplements and skincare as it has less colour, smell and flavour and is more stable over long periods than unrefined Avocado Oil. Known and used often for its benefits to skin, Avocado Oil can help protect skin from the elements, including the sun. Alongside Omega 6 and Omega 9, Avocado Oil also naturally contains Vitamin E and Lutein to support skin health.

Organic Avocado Oil

Organic Avocado Oil is available in both unrefined and refined options to suit your market and product needs. It is extracted from the organic avocado, using internationally recognised organic processes with the resultant product earning the certification of Organic Avocado Oil. Midlands Nutrition is organically certified in New Zealand by AsureQuality, who is accredited by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM). This means we can provide avocado oil that is recognised as certified organic worldwide.
